Gwen, mom to Sarah, chronicles their journey at 4 Boys and a Little Lady. Sarah, who came home in 2008 with a special need of cleft lip, originally had her lip repaired in Beijing and recently had her lip repair revised.

Shecki, mom to Hannah, shares about her daughter’s journey to get fitted for a prosthetic leg. In February, she had her foot amputated and in early May was healed enough to begin the casting process for her new leg. In late May, she had her first test fitting at Shriners, and in June she was able to try her prosthetic leg for the first time. Hannah began walking only 2 days later, to the amazement of her very proud mama.

And some traveling families who have just or are about to meet their children for the first time…

Dragons and Elephants – traveling for their daughter, Molly Kate, who has a heart defect.

The Fanning Four – just leaving for their son Caleb, who has cleft lip and palate.

Gazing Upward – traveling for their daughter, Caroline, who is 12.
