Wallace, born March 2013, is an extroverted little boy with big bright eyes and a cute smile; caregivers want to kiss his chubby cheeks every time they see him, and who can blame them?! He especially enjoys listening to music, and will sit quietly enraptured by it. This sweet boy loves to complete puzzles and then show them to his caregivers, who reward him with an encouraging kiss! When a caregiver passes by he’ll lift his arms up to be held, but if they can’t pick him up he’ll wait patiently.
One of his favorite things is to be taken outside and see the big kids playing; he gets so excited and waves his arms and legs! He could stand while holding on at 10 months old, and began to walk while holding a railing at 15 months. On a recent WACAP staff trip they saw that he walks very well now! He is diagnosed with spina bifida, and when his file was prepared it was reported that surgery was planned soon. On their visit staff were told he has now had surgery, though there were not many details given. There are extra photos and video of Wallace from the staff trip that can be shared with his family.
Currently Wallace is listed with WACAP. There is a $2000 Promise Child grant available for qualified families to help with the cost of his adoption. Please email WACAP for more information about Wallace. Even if you are working with a different agency, please contact WACAP about Wallace, they might consider transferring his file to another agency or assist a family in switching to them to pursue him. He has waited for a family for some time and WACAP wants to see him matched. He is a sweet little guy!
