Hamilton was born February of 2012 and is a smart little boy with a bright smile, who doesn’t let anything slow him down!
He is diagnosed with arthrogryposis which mainly affects his arms, so he uses his toes for many things, like playing the keyboard or holding his bottle. In a recent update it shows that he has made great progress from his daily therapies. He can now walk independently and go up and down stairs, though he does fall sometimes. His core muscles need strengthening, as he struggles to move from lying down to sitting up, but he can go from sitting to standing on his own.
His arm function has improved as well, he can move his arms from the shoulder, and his grip strength has increased. He can perform some basic tasks with his hands now. Hamilton is a bright boy, he can name all the children and teachers in his group, count to 20, and speaks in five word sentences.
Hamilton’s file is currently with WACAP. He has a $4,000 grant available to qualified families. Please email WACAP for more information.
