I’m so lucky to get to introduce you to Paxton! He was born August of 2012. Paxton has been diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, otherwise known as Brittle Bone Disease. Paxton was abandoned outside of a local police station. He was estimated to be six months old. He was taken to the local Social Welfare Institute where he is obviously very well cared for.

WACAP got to meet Paxton in May of 2015. Paxton is a handsome little boy who is quiet and likes to play with Duplos. During WACAP’s visit Paxton’s caregivers advised that he has “soft bones” and they went onto advise that his bones break easily. While the caregiver’s used the term “soft bones” his file advises that he has a diagnosis of Osteogenesis Imperfecta.

Paxton’s caregivers report that 2 months ago was his last break and he has been recovering. During his recovery they do not allow him to play with other children but he will soon be able to return to his normal toddler activities with friends.

WACAP asked if Paxton can walk and they were advised that he primarily walks by holding onto furniture. He sits well. His care givers report that he likes to play with friends but he is also content to play by himself. He likes to play with Duplos and cars. His caregivers report that he seems to know how to protect himself from falling when he is playing with his friends, but the nannies still worry about him when he is playing with others.

Paxton is an amazingly handsome, bright little boy. We’re so hopeful that he’ll find his family soon. They’ll be so lucky to have him! Please contact WACAP to review his file or for more information on completing his adoption.
