This is little Allen who was born in March of 2009. He was admitted into the institute at 2 years of age. His special need is delayed language development. He was very quiet and did not talk much at all when he first entered the CWI and the orphanage staff thought that he was mute and deaf.

Allen called “Po Po” (grandmother) unexpectedly in May of 2012. In December of 2012, the CWI staff sent Allen to the Hearing center in Huaxi Hopsital of Sichuan University to have a hearing test. The test result showed that Allen had no hearing loss. Allen started the speech therapy after that and has made much progress. Now he can speak clearly and he has caught up with other children his age.

Allen is a very handsome boy who had a beautiful smile. He was very attached to his caregivers and has received wonderful care from them. Allen’s file is just assigned to BAAS as a special focus file and he is from one of the partnership orphanages. Interested families can email BAAS directly.
