A Family for Sterling

Sterling, who will be 4 years old this month, is beyond precious and may have one of the sweetest personalities ever known to man. His special need is Down syndrome and a minor heart defect.

He lives in a group foster home and attends kindergarten for special needs children. He knows his numbers, can climb stairs, enjoys finger painting especially with the color yellow and always helps his teacher clean up after class.

Although he is non-verbal, he expresses how much he loves his teachers by blowing kisses and often claps for his classmates to cheer them on during a project. He dances to music, is learning sign language and has a very large sweet tooth. Not surprisingly, Sterling is an orphanage favorite and the staff hopes he finds his forever family soon.

An American teacher has interacted with Sterling and is happy to answer questions about him from perspective parents. And there are several videos that can be shared with interested families. If you would like to view them, or to be connected with the American teacher with questions, leave a comment here or contact Stefanie.

CHI has his file and they are willing to transfer it to a different agency. Interested families can contact Amanda Hostetler at CHI.
