Cody is diagnosed as having internal oblique of both eyes and an indirect inguinal hernia. At the age of 2 years, he could walk alone, go upstairs, and pull and push toys. At 2.5, he could run, imitate kicking the ball, drink water with a cup, and eat vegetables with a spoon. He has been receiving early education in the orphanage. He is quite independent! Cody is close to his caretakers and gets along well with other children in the same class. He understands everything, but has been known to be shy and quiet so his expressive language was slightly delayed. Cody likes to play outside, play with balls, and play games with the other children.

A volunteer team has just spent a few days with Cody through Madison’s Ambassadors of Hope camp in China. Cody’s volunteer said she can’t believe he has waited all this time for a family! She said that he is amazing and that he can see things because he’d point to things he saw while on the bus and talk about them. He also tried to copy the drawings she would make with chalk on the sidewalk. Cody will be such a blessing to some very lucky family- could that family be yours?

There is a $2,000 agency grant with Madison Adoption Associates for Cody’s adoption. Other grants may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. Agency grants are awarded as agency fee reductions. MAA also partners with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation for matching grants, which are given out twice a year (January and July) and to families that already are matched/have PA for a child. Brittany’s Hope funds are awarded after travel.
