Aging Out Alert: Patrick!

July 6, 2017 Children Who Wait 0 Comments

Patrick is an amazingly happy 13 year old boy who has a very short amount of time to be adopted. He will age out July of 2018.

Patrick has OI (Brittle Bone). He is a very sweet boy who has an infectious smile and is loved by all who meet him. Patrick lives in an International China Concern (ICC) group home outside the orphanage walls with other boys similar to his age and ability. He is experiencing life beyond the orphanage, receives teaching from an ICC teacher and supports to become more independent.

While Patrick is living in a family style environment, this does not fully replace the love, support and opportunities that being adopted would give him. We hope and pray that a family will step forward to adopt Patrick, giving him the love and opportunities he so deserves. Please visit his post on the ICC blog to see more pictures and learn more about him.

Patrick has some amazing financial gifts in his name to help defray the costs of his adoption. He has a generous a $10,000 private grant, a retroactive $5,000 Little People of America Grant, and he is also eligible for additional grants from select agencies. Additionally, he has an account on Reece’s Rainbow that his family could use for their fundraising efforts.

Patrick is now back on the shared list so a family or single woman with any agency could pursue his adoption. Please contact Erin Schmidt, ICC Adoptive Families Coordinator at to receive his identifying information if you wish to have your agency pursue his file
