Goodness, have we got a special little boy for you to meet today!
This is Yan Bo, affectionately called “Bobo” who is listed has having a repaired cleft lip and palate and drooping eyelids by his orphanage. Isn’t he adorable?
He is listed with ATWA and all his agency fees are waived. If a family adopts through ATWA there is an additional $500 grant. ATWA is also willing to transfer his file, but waived fees and grant would not apply in that case.
Bobo’s orphanage writes, “Bo was born April 24, 2008 and has a repaired cleft lip and a cleft palate, as well as drooping eyelids. Bo can express his needs and thoughts, although his pronunciation is not the most clear. At five years old Bo could use the potty by himself and was able to put on and take off his own clothes. Bo is a cute little guy and we hope that he will have a forever family before too long!”
Little Bo is almost six years old. One of his old roommates, Lexi, wants everybody to know that, “I miss my Bobo. I want Bobo to have a family to love him… Like a mom and a sister or maybe a brother.” She hopes that she can see him again someday. She wants Bobo to know that families love you and take care of you forever.
Well, what about you? Could you be the ones to fill Bo’s greatest need? To teach him that “families love you and take care of you forever?” Every child needs to know this… the greatest tragedy, the greatest special need, is when they do not.
Not nearly convinced enough? Check out this adorable video of Bobo practicing a song in his class. The song is all about daily hygiene, as you’ll see in the motions as the children pretend to brush their teeth and wash their faces.
This spring a friend visited Bobo, and the second day she was there he had a little upset tummy, and so stayed with his nanny all day instead of going to class. He didn’t want to be far from her and helped her carry diapers and food for the babies.
He’s definitely a mama’s boy! He loves to help out and has such a sweet spirit!
Yan Bo is almost six years old and has droopy eyelids (which do not cause vision problems) and a repaired cleft lip and palate.
The first day we spent with him he was feeling fine and in preschool. The classroom had a tent set up and he LOVED playing in it. Can you just imagine this little guy building forts in your living room on sheets-washing day?
His lip and palate are both repaired, and his speech seems pretty on track with the rest of his peers in the orphanage, but it’s just not very clear. That’s because of his surgeries, and he will probably need speech therapy in the future.
But more than speech therapy… preschool, cute clothes and a tricycle, Bobo needs a family.
His vision and hearing are good, he can color and draw and he really enjoys doing just about anything. He has close friends at the orphanage, but he doesn’t have any forever siblings.
Here is a video of Bobo introducing himself in preschool.
Fun in the tent…
And he is even learning how to read numbers!
Yan Bo’s file is currently with Across the World Adoption agency (ATWA) and all his agency fees are waived.

How precious he is. I wonder if Debbie also in the video was adopted? She appeared on NewDay’s site a while ago. Do you know?
