Little Jessica just turned 6 in May and is picture perfect!!
She was found at about 3.5 years old and was unable to walk alone. She has increased muscular tension in her lower limbs. Upon admission she was noted to be quiet and adorable, liked to watch TV and draw, could use a spoon to eat and drink from a glass, and shortly after started a rehabilitation class.
Now, she is active, cheerful (in case you couldn’t tell from the pictures!!), can speak in complete sentences with clear pronunciation, is very polite, knows many children’s songs and gave a wonderful performance on children’s day. She is interested in music, popular with classmates, and very well liked by her teachers. She understands instructions, can respond and make judgment, get dressed and undressed, and wash her face. She does still need some help in the bathroom and uses diapers in the daytime. She writes well, is attentive in class, can count to 50, can add, knows her shapes, and can string beans. She is able to stand for 5 minutes with support, walk holding onto a rail, walk to the classroom and bedroom without help, walk with a walking aid, and is continuing to make good progress.
Her file calls her a “positive sunshine girl and I’m sure she will brighten anyone’s day! She is listed with BAAS. Please contact BAAS to review her file!
