Waiting Child Highlight: Louisa

June 6, 2017 Children Who Wait 0 Comments

Are you looking for a princess to join your family? If so, look no further! Louisa is an adorable six-year-old girl who would love to play dress-up and make believe with a sister!

As you can see from one of her older videos, her language development is good and she can speak in 5-10 word sentences. She will tell her caretaker “I miss you!”

Louisa is able to put on and take off her shoes and clothes independently. She can recite simple poems, do addition and subtraction within 10, and she loves looking at books. Louisa likes to wear dresses, play with dolls, listen to music, sing, and dance. Singing and dancing are two of her favorite things. In fact, she even loves making up her own dance moves! Louisa’s caretakers describe her as cute, curious, and smiley.

Louisa was born with a meningocele and hydrocephalus, both of which she has had surgery for. It does sound like her spinal surgery left her incontinent. Louisa has an ankle deformity and it appears she may have club feet as well. She wears an orthopedic shoe for that. Louisa is able to walk with a walker and she can go up and down stairs while holding a railing. She has good upper body strength. You can tell from her photos and videos that she is a very determined little girl who works so very hard!

Could your family be the family that makes this princess’ dreams come true?
