Waiting to be Chosen: Ifan

June 26, 2017 Children Who Wait 2 Comments

Ifan, born January 2007, is a sensible and polite child. He puts his shoes away as soon as he gets home, and always greets people he knows. Whenever a guest leaves he says “come back soon!”

Ifan is diagnosed with club feet, which he had surgery for; caregivers report that he can walk and run, though he sticks his neck out when he runs. He also has contractures in his pinky fingers, but he can use his hands normally to eat and write, he just can’t carry heavy objects. He has a cyst on one kidney, and has had kidney stones.

In school Ifan follows the rules, respects his teacher and gets along well with other kids. He does have trouble paying attention in class and talks a lot, but he loves to help other students. He can do basic math with numbers under ten, and video shows him reading. Ifan lives with a foster family, and likes going shopping with his foster parents. He enjoys outdoor activities, and playing with his friends. He needs a forever family to provide him support and love as he grows up!

Ifan is part of the Love Without Boundaries Foster program, you can read his blog updates on their blog. Ifan’s file is currently with WACAP. He has a $4,000 grant available for qualified families. For more information, please email WACAP.
