Waiting for You: Fia

Beautiful Fia is waiting for her family to find her. She is now 2 years old, but her report was written when she was only 18 mo old. Her agency (CHI) has asked for an update.

Fia was found when she was 10 months old. In her report as an 18 month old, Fia enjoyed her bath time, spending time in the garden, and eating. At that time she was eating a varied healthy diet and loved drinking juice. When her belly was nice and full, she would move her arms and feet and laugh happily.

Fia’s report also shares her love of basking outdoors. Her caregiver describes her surroundings, and Fia giggles as she watches the trees, birds, wind and sprouts. She liked to hold a leaf in her hand.

At 18 months Fia was able to turn over, sit against objects, sit prone on the mattress and push her head against the floor, kneel to play on the mattress. She babbled and laughed out when happy. She would turn her head when she heard a sound, feel and explore the outside world with hands and mouth. She could make eye contact, smile to others, and was fond of playing with adults. She would move her arms and feet happily when someone played peek-a-boo with her.

Fia’s file states she was born August of 2015 and has Cerebral Palsy and is described as quiet and shy. We hope she gets the chance to do so much more when she has her own family. For more information about adopting Fia, please email Children’s House Int’l Specialist Nina Thompson.
