Meet Francis!

April 16, 2018 Children Who Wait 0 Comments

Francis is a handsome little boy, born in October of 2011, who is described as all smiles and easygoing.

Francis joined a foster family in June of 2014 and he has done very well under their care. He is a talkative little boy who can answer questions well. He knows how to count, sort objects by color, identify colors, and identify body parts.

Francis is small for his age, but otherwise on target in all areas of development. He has very good gross and fine motor skills. He might even like jumping on the couch. (What boy doesn’t?)

Francis doesn’t hesitate to engage friends and get right in the mix of activity. His outgoing nature makes him a likable little boy who easily makes friends. That same gregarious personality and sweet smile is a plus for the customers he helps his foster mom assist at the grocery store where she works.

At seven months of age, Francis had surgery for anal atresia and to remove an extra thumb from his right hand. He also had surgeries in December of 2014, July of 2015, and February of 2016 for hypospadias and another sensitive need.

There is no stopping this cutie and it’s hard to believe he has continued to wait all this time. We hope this is Francis’ last stop. Don’t miss his precious videos – some family is going to be blessed to call this waiting treasure their son!

You can find videos of Francis here and here.

Francis is newly listed with Madison Adoption Associates. There is a $500 agency grant for Francis’ adoption with Madison Adoption Associates. Other grants may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. Agency grants are awarded as agency fee reductions. MAA also partners with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation for matching grants, which are given out twice a year January and July) and to families that are officially matched with a child.

Francis needs a family with an approved home study to be able to hold his file or move forward with adopting him. If you have an approved home study or a home study in process and are interested in adopting Francis, please fill out a free PAP Waiting Child Review Form.
