Find My Family: Nadia

June 24, 2018 Children Who Wait 1 Comments

Nadia’s file makes it hard to understand what her needs really are, and her photos simply don’t accurately reflect her absolute adorableness.

But her video? It shows the world exactly who she is!

Nadia is a sweet young girl, born in August of 2013, who is described as introverted, timid, and quiet. She likes to help the caretakers with housework and likes playing with and taking care of the younger children. Nadia gets along well with others and enjoys playing games and reading books.

Nadia was listed in the system as having a cerebral malformation. Her diagnosis section of her file says “cerebral palsy?” Within her file it notes: “No deformity of spine and limbs, normal muscular tension of limbs; admitting diagnosis: head deformity.”

Nadia’s mental development is said to be the same as peers her age without special needs. She has good gross and fine motor skills and is independent with her self-care skills. She can put on and take off her clothes and go to the bathroom on her own.

Nadia’s language development is said to be delayed. At the time her file was prepared, she was speaking simple words and her speech wasn’t clear. She was very good at and using and reading facial expressions and gestures.

Do not miss her video, she has an incredible smile and the cutest little voice. Her speech may be delayed and/or unclear, but it is clear she can talk! Nadia is listed with Madison Adoption Associates and we can’t wait to see who her forever family will be!

Here is her must-watch video – the password is Nadia. I dare you not to smile when you see the joy this sweet girl contains! (This video came from another agency.)

There is a $500 agency grant for Nadia’s adoption with Madison Adoption Associates. Other grants may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. Agency grants are awarded as agency fee reductions. MAA also partners with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation for matching grants, which are given out twice a year (January and July) and to families that are officially matched with a child.

Nadia needs a family with an approved home study to be able to hold her file or move forward with adopting her. If you have an approved home study or a home study in process and are interested in adopting Nadia please fill out a free PAP Waiting Child Review Form, which can be found here.
