Meet Zayden!

August 10, 2018 Children Who Wait 0 Comments

Zayden is an adorable and happy little boy, born in July of 2016, who laughs and smiles often. He’s been a nanny favorite since he was a baby and it’s clear to see why!

An MRI from June of 2017 showed that Zayden’s corpus callosum did not develop and that he had hydrocephalus. At four months old, he began receiving rehabilitation training at a hospital and after several months he made great progress in all areas.

In September of 2017, Zayden’s caregivers reported his motor skills were basically normal for his age and he could sit up steadily on his own! Since he was so young, they couldn’t tell if he had any cognitive or language delays at that time.

When he has a break from therapy, Zayden likes to play with toys. Though all his caregivers adore him, they hope he will find a loving family soon and so do we!

There is a $500 agency grant for Zayden’s adoption with Madison Adoption Associates. Other grants may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. Agency grants are awarded as agency fee reductions. MAA also partners with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation for matching grants, which are given out twice a year January and July) and to families that are officially matched with a child.

Zayden needs a family with an approved home study to be able to move forward with adopting him. If you have an approved home study or a home study in process and are interested in adopting Zayden, please fill out a free PAP Waiting Child Review Form, which can be found here.
