Jamison is a happy little boy with a warm smile, born April of 2011 with a cleft lip and palate. In August of 2015, Jamison underwent surgery to repair his cleft lip and is said to have recovered well.

Jamison is an active and talkative little guy who enjoys toys, games, and reading picture books. He has normal motor development. From his November 2016 file, Jamison can draw a person with three parts and is able to tie his shoelaces and dress himself.



Jamison enjoys outdoor activities and is full of questions when he’s outside! He likes playing games with the other children and has a lot of friends in the orphanage. Jamison’s caretakers describe him as friendly, sensible, and clever. They all really enjoy him and hope he finds his forever family soon!

It is hard to believe Jamison is still waiting. Could he be waiting for you?

Written update from September 2018:

1. How is his mental ability compared to peers of the same age?
His mental is a little behind, but overall is fine.

2. How does the special need affect his health?
He has cleft lip and palate. The lip was fixed. He has no other special need. His speech has some issues, but it does not affect his health.

3. Is he potty trained?
Yes.

4. Please describe his personality in details.
He is happy, active, busy, and caring. He likes helping others. He is obedient and likes working. He does not rely on others. He is independent and social.

5. Is he well behaved and obedient?
He is well behaved and obedient. He does not have abnormal behaviors.

6. How are his gross motor skills? Can he walk, run, jump, walk upstairs and downstairs by himself? Can he kick a ball? Can he pick up a ball? Any limited functions?
He has good motor skills. He can walk, run, jump, go upstairs, downstairs, pat a ball, pass a ball, ride a bike, etc. He has good coordination and does not have limitations.

7. How are his fine motor skills? Can he draw or scribble on paper? Can he pick up little things with his fingers?
He can feed himself, hold little things, can draw a circle, color paper, and move chairs. He has no limitations.

8. Is he in any kind of school? If so, what school? Can he catch up in school?
No school yet. He is trained in the orphanage.

9. How is his emotional development? Is the child attached to anyone? Who is he close to?
Does he care for other people?
He will observe other people and react. He can read faces and express himself. He will laugh out loud when he is happy. He is not attached to a particular person, but is close to the other kids in the room. He cares about others and will share food with other people.

10. How are his social skills? Does get along well with other children and adults?
He is social. He gets along well with others.

11. Is he under foster care or living in the orphanage?
He is in the orphanage. He has never been in foster care.

13. How is the language ability of the child? What can he say? Can he speak one word, two words or sentences? Can he express his needs well? Is his language ability the same as peers of the same age?
His language ability is fine. His palate is not fixed yet, so his speech has some issues. You can understand what he says. He can tell his own name and names of other kids, can say complete sentences, can tell a story, can sing, read, and can recite many poems.

14. Can the child follow directions of adults? One step, two steps, or three steps?
He can follow directions from adults. He can complete his tasks well. He can help do housework. He is hard-working.

15. Anything else you think the family should know about the child?
He will be very mad if he is wronged.

16. Is the child on any medication?
Not now. Sometimes he has a cold or digestion issues and then he will take medicine.

17. What is the daily schedule of the child?
6:30 am get up
7:00 am breakfast
8:00 am go to class
9:00 am activity
10:30 am lunch
12:00-14:00 nap
14:30 snacks

18. What does the child eat? Can he feed himself? Does the child eat with chopsticks, a spoon, or a bottle?
He eats rice and all dishes, noodles, bread, cake, milk, juice, and so on. He feeds himself with a spoon.

19. Does the child know any English?
He knows the alphabet.

20. Does the child want to be adopted? Does the child understand what adoption means?
He wants to be adopted. He knows he will have a family and parents if he is adopted.

21. What color does the child like?
Bright colors like red and blue.

22. What activity does the child like to do?
He likes all kinds of activities like balls, riding bikes, sliding, swinging, running, and playing with other kids.

23. What is the favorite toy of the child?
Bike



There is a $500 agency grant for Jamison’s adoption with Madison Adoption Associates. Other grants may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. Agency grants are awarded as agency fee reductions. MAA also partners with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation for matching grants, which are given out twice a year January and July) and to families that are officially matched with a child.
