Waiting to be Chosen: Jediah

March 10, 2017 Children Who Wait 5 Comments

Jediah is two years old and is one of the bravest little guys we know. He came to Shanghai Healing Home one year ago; scared and desperately needing his first heart surgery.

Since having his surgery he has thrived in the care of SHH. He has a quiet and sweet personality, and a funny side that makes us all laugh daily. He is close to his Ayi/nanny and our staff members that he sees often. He understands most everything that is said to him, and replies with two or three word sentences… sometimes even in English! He plays really well with all of the other children, and has met every developmental milestone for his age. We know a family will be so blessed by this sweet boy!

Jediah’s heart condition is Tricuspid inclosure, VSD, Patent foramen ovale (PFO), Transposition of conducting arteries (TGA) and mild pulmonary valve stenosis which was corrected with the Glenn procedure. His doctors have told us that he will need another surgery around age 3 to correct the rest of his defects.

He is listed as Jediah with Gladney, please contact them for more information on pursuing him for adoption.

I’m a single female, just turned 40. Is it possible to adopt

Oh my goodness!! I’m totally smitten by this precious little bundle of love. That sweet face…. those little hands look like he’s forming a heart with his fingers. He will make some mama and baba very happy!

What age do you have to be to adopt? I am in my early 50’s and so is my husband.

That sweet baby needs a home.

Does he have any funding for his adoption available? My family doesn’t have a lot of money but we do have a lot of love, he would have all of his needs met and well taken care of but adoption is very expensive especially overseas.
