Waiting For You: Liv

August 8, 2018 Children Who Wait 0 Comments

Liv is full of personality and you can’t help but fall in love with her just by looking at her sweet face! Liv was born in June of 2014, but didn’t come into care until she was about two years old.

She arrived with medical reports showing that she had surgeries in 2015 for hydrocephalus and meningomyelocele and a tethered spinal cord. Liv has weakness in her legs and cannot stand with support. A wheelchair or power chair would likely do wonders for her mobility.

She can speak in short sentences and understands what others are saying to her. She likes playing with toys and playing with other children. She is attached to adults and loves to be talked to and teased. Her laugh is contagious and she is regularly seen smiling or laughing.

A forever family, access to good medical care, and quality therapy and resources are what Liv needs most! Could your family be the missing piece for precious Liv?

There is a $500 agency grant for Liv’s adoption with Madison Adoption Associates. Other grants may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. Agency grants are awarded as agency fee reductions. MAA also partners with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation for matching grants, which are given out twice a year January and July) and to families that are officially matched with a child.

Liv needs a family with an approved home study to be able to move forward with adopting her. If you have an approved home study or a home study in process and are interested in adopting Liv, please fill out a free PAP Waiting Child Review Form, which can be found here.
