Find My Family: Fynn

August 18, 2018 Children Who Wait 1 Comments

Fynn was born in April of 2015 and is well liked by all of his nannies. Fynn’s caretakers describe him as a little quiet and introverted, but also said that he likes playing with other children. His favorite toys are cars and toy blocks.

Fynn was diagnosed with an umbilical hernia. His nannies believe he was born prematurely due to his very low weight when he was found, and because his growth and development have been behind his peers. Fynn was also treated for jaundice and congenital syphilis.

At ten months old, Fynn could sit on his own for a short time and crawl. As of February of 2017, he’s also learned to stand while holding onto railings for support, but wasn’t walking independently at that time.

Fynn can grab toys with both hands, but he has had fine motor delays. His caregivers report he doesn’t understand directions because he has hearing loss. His paperwork includes a hearing test, showing profound hearing loss, which explains any language delay.

Fynn smiled a lot as a baby, but appears more serious in more recent pictures. He rarely cries, but when he’s upset his caretakers hug and kiss him or sometimes take him for a walk to help him calm down.

Fynn has some unknowns, but what is clear is that he has the most kissable cheeks, is making gains, and needs a language and forever family of his own!

There is a $500 agency grant for Fynn’s adoption with Madison Adoption Associates. Other grants may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. Agency grants are awarded as agency fee reductions. MAA also partners with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation for matching grants, which are given out twice a year January and July) and to families that are officially matched with a child.

Fynn needs a family with an approved home study to be able to move forward with adopting him. If you have an approved home study or a home study in process and are interested in adopting Fynn, please fill out a free PAP Waiting Child Review Form, which can be found here.

Praying someone sees and claims him before he gives up: He needs his family soon. Thanks for letting me post this. ♡♡
